In the field of mold heating, different installation methods of mold heating tubes have their own advantages and disadvantages in terms of heat transfer efficiency and ease of later maintenance. Among them, the embedded installation method performs particularly well in these two aspects.

Embedded installation is to directly embed the heating tube into the reserved hole slot of the mold. From the perspective of heat transfer, this installation method can ensure a tight fit between the heating tube and the mold. The heat generated by the heating tube can be directly conducted to the mold through the shortest path, reducing the loss of heat during the transfer process. The opposite of embedded installation is external installation. The external heating tube is installed outside the mold, although the installation process is relatively simple, there are certain disadvantages in heat transfer. Heat needs to be conducted through the outer shell of the mold to the interior, which results in a large thermal resistance, leading to a decrease in heat transfer efficiency and making it difficult to ensure uniform heating of various parts inside the mold. In terms of later maintenance, external heating tubes may be subject to more interference from external environmental factors, such as collisions, dust accumulation, etc., and their connection with the mold may also become loose due to thermal expansion and contraction, increasing the complexity of maintenance.

In summary, the embedded installation method performs well in terms of heat transfer efficiency and convenient maintenance in the later stage, and is one of the ideal choices for installing mold heating tubes. However, in practical applications, it still needs to be comprehensively considered based on factors such as the specific type and usage environment of the mold.
