Preparation before installation
Check the heating tube: Conduct a visual inspection of the heating tube to see if there are any obvious defects such as scratches, cracks, deformation, etc. At the same time, check whether the wiring terminals of the heating tube are intact to ensure that there are no looseness, oxidation, or other issues.
Verify specifications: Carefully check whether the specifications and models of the heating tube match the design requirements of the mold, including parameters such as power, size, shape, etc., to avoid damage to the heating tube due to installation difficulties caused by non-compliance with specifications.
Cleaning the mold: Use specialized cleaning tools to thoroughly remove debris, oil stains, iron filings, etc. from the installation holes of the mold, preventing these impurities from entering the gap between the heating tube and the mold during installation, causing surface wear or local overheating of the heating tube.
Installation process operation
Using the correct installation method: For direct insertion heating tubes, ensure that the heating tube is concentric with the installation hole to avoid tilting insertion. Auxiliary tools such as guide sleeves can be used to ensure smooth insertion of the heating tube without excessive friction with the hole wall. For threaded heating pipes, a suitable wrench should be used to tighten them according to the specified torque to prevent excessive torque from damaging the heating pipe threads or deforming the pipe body.
Avoid excessive force: During installation, it is strictly prohibited to use hard objects such as hammers to directly strike the heating tube, in order to avoid causing the internal heating wire of the heating tube to break or the insulation layer to be damaged. If the heating tube is installed tightly, it should not be forcefully inserted. Check for any deviation in the size of the installation hole or foreign object blockage, and troubleshoot before installation.
Preventing electrostatic damage: When installing heating tubes, operators should wear anti-static wristbands and other equipment, especially in dry environments, to prevent electrostatic discharge from damaging the electronic components or insulation layer of the heating tube.
Check after installation
Electrical connection inspection: After installation, carefully check whether the electrical connection of the heating tube is firm, whether the terminal is well sealed, and avoid problems such as virtual connection and short circuit.
Heating tube test: Before the mold is put into use, conduct an electrical test on the heating tube to check whether it is working properly, whether the temperature rise is stable, and whether there are any abnormal phenomena such as local overheating or no heating. If any problems are found, promptly investigate and reinstall.
